Our studio offers everything you need for a creative day of bead making!
Equipment includes:
- 6 torches (2 Nortel Mid-ranges, a Mega Minor, a Minor and 2 Bobcats)
- didymidium glasses
- pre-dipped mandrels that are ready to go
- kilns, oxygen, propane
- a wide array of tools
- a lap grinder for finishing
- a selection of glass for sale by the rod
- and the all-important industrial-strength ventilation.
All of our torches can be rented by the hour: £6 per/hour for the minor torches
and £10 per/hour for the midranges. Rental includes gas, annealing, and access to
the kilns & tools - glass & other supplies are not included.
Please note, you must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of safety and basic
lampworking skills before renting torch time.
We are currently in the process of setting up a silversmithing area and photography
services for your beads and completed pieces.
If you are new to lampworking or you feel like a refresher, a
taster course
is available to get you started. Successful completion of the course will
qualify you to rent torch time and to develop your skills further at your own pace.
